Money-Saving News: Geothermal Tax Credits Available Until Jan. 1, 2022

Last year, Congress extended the available Geothermal Tax Credits until Jan.1, 2022. If you’re planning home-HVAC projects any time in the near future, this is money-saving news for you. But you have to act quickly; the extension doesn’t last forever. Now through 2020, the eligible credit is 30 percent, when it drops to 26 percent, and then down to 22 percent through 2021. So long as your projects commence within the 2021 calendar year, they may be eligible for the tax credit.

Reasons to consider geothermal HVAC solutions for your home beyond the available tax credits:

  • Reduced carbon footprint
  • Energy bill savings
  • Increased re-sale value for your home
