We offer a hiring bonus for new employees and a recruiting bonus of $250 to anyone who refers a qualified service technician or installer after an employee is with us for 30 days. Details are as follows:

  • $2,500 for service technicians and HVAC installers only.
  • $500 to be paid on the first check.
  • $500 per quarter thereafter until the end of 1st year.
  • For qualified, experienced techs only – minimum two years of experience and trade school certificate or three years of field experience.
  • School experience must be verified with a certificate.
  • Work experience must be documented by previous employers.
  • This does not apply to office employees, salespeople, field managers, or field employees not meeting the required experience and schooling qualifications.
  • Other restrictions may apply.

Lead Installation Technician

Responsibilities: Lead Installation Technician

Ability to Install and/or service Residential Furnaces, A/C and Heat Pumps

Thoroughly checking HVAC system for safe and efficient operation

Provide suggestions to clients to improve their existing system operation

Completing installation or repairs to provide honest value for the client

Completing paperwork and helping team members when assistance is needed

Requirements: Lead Installation Technician

At least 4 years of HVAC experience in Service or Installation

Possess an EPA Universal Certification (or Type 2)

NATE Certification(s) and Denver Journeyman Certificate preferred

Qualify to drive a company vehicle

Pass drug test and background check

Reside in a location within 45 minutes of our office

Installation Technician

Sensible Heat is an alternative and traditional HVAC company providing comfortable home solutions for a wide range of clients. We encourage clients to use highly efficient and environmental-friendly systems that equal a lower carbon footprint We are looking for customer-focused Installation Technician who will support the Lead Installation Technician. Other qualities include:

Residential HVAC Salesperson / Estimator

As a Residential HVAC Sales Representative for Sensible Heating and Cooling (SHC), your responsibilities will include generating new customer leads; forming positive relationships with clients; recommending and selling heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services and products to new prospects and current clients. You will also work with and assist highly skilled HVAC specialists who can design, install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, qualities and abilities:


  • Have a strong desire to help improve the lives of clients through providing quality HVAC solutions.
  • Must be a team player who understands the value of working together to accomplish common goals.
  • Be a skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing, and have a desire to continuously improve.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to work through challenges as they arise.
  • Have a technical mindset and be able to understand mechanical, electrical and building concepts.
  • Be able to complete field investigations which may involve getting into crawlspaces and attics.
  • Have at least five years of HVAC field experience as an installer and / or technician.
  • Be knowledgeable about mechanical and building codes related to HVAC.
  • Proficient in math skills related to estimating, load calculations and performing basic design.
  • Be familiar with MS Word, Excel, One Drive and other Microsoft products.
  • Have basic skills related to using service or CRM software. ServiceTitan skills are a plus.
  • Be willing and open to being coached and working to improve communication and technical skills.


  • Understand the company’s Mission Statement and desired business goals.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to create an individual sales plan for professional development.
  • Organize and follow up sales leads that are either self-generated or provided by the company.
  • Continually track status of prospects in the sales pipeline. Maintain sales momentum with prospects.
  • Follow the replacement selling system as established and coached by the SHC Sales Manager.
  • The position requires frequent travel to meet with clients, but initial contacts may be from office or from home.
  • Qualify potential prospects on the phone or in person to understand if there is a potential fit between the
    prospect and what SHC offers its clients.
  • Meet with prospects in their homes to understand their HVAC pain points. Develop rapport to understand the prospects’ budget requirements. Salesperson will be able to ask relevant questions, listen to answers, then explain general HVAC concepts and potential solutions that may fit within the prospects’ budget.
  • Once prospects have identified and expressed a strong desire to work with SHC, provide detailed quotes,
    using sales tools such as BizPro, estimating spreadsheets, load calc software and proposal templates.
  • After a sale is made, the salesperson will complete necessary paperwork to turn the client’s work over to the installation team.
  • Salesperson will follow turnover procedure established by the Operations Manager, and work with subcontractors and homeowners to make sure the scope of work is clear to everyone.
  • Salesperson will follow up with clients during and after the work is performed to facilitate communication and to ensure client satisfaction. Prospect for new referrals from satisfied clients.
  • Continue to learn and grow professionally in all areas that will help the salesperson and the company to
    grow and to thrive.
  • Position includes a base salary, commissions, vehicle allowance and company benefits.

CSR Admin

  • Answer Phones.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Use Service Titan to schedule and pull reports, etc.
  • Take payments over the phone via credit cards.
  • Follow up calls to schedule return appointments, schedule annual maintenance, after hours follow up or any other customer needs.
  • Transfer calls or get information to the correct person.
  • Service agreement coordination- renewals schedule etc. for about 300 Service Agreements.
  • Service agreement tracking.
  • Send out weekly emails to get reviews.
  • Specials we may run to email to customers.
  • Inspection- organize, set and keep track of city and county inspections on jobs.
  • Rebates- process all rebates to Xcel and manufacturers.
  • Warranty registration for customers with new equipment.
  • Confirm all calls for the next day- done through Service Titan.
  • Setting up Sales calls including lead qualifications.
  • Entry-level position with room for growth within the company.
  • Hybrid position, in office up to three days a week.
  • Compensation Range: $19-$22/hourly DOE with the possibility of OT. Flexibility with part time or full time.
