Whether or not your home furnace is already switched to its on position and hard at work to keep you warm, there’s still time to have it serviced. At Sensible Heating & Cooling, we suggest following an annual maintenance routine for your furnace. Consider it a “well-furnace” visit.
By scheduling regular maintenance, you’ll ensure operational efficiency and reduce the need for future emergency service fixes down the road; plus, you’ll extend the lifespan of your furnace by a few years. During the “well-furnace” visit, a highly trained and well-informed Sensible HVAC technician will complete the following procedures:
- Clean the furnace to restore it to factory fresh condition.
- Inspect all system components, including electrical, gas and thermostat operation.
- Preform a safety inspection of the furnace itself, flue, venting and draft assembly.
- A camera inspection of your heat exchanger.
- Clean the blower and flame sensor rod.
If your furnace is older than 15-years, be certain to schedule a checkup as soon as possible. If you wait until temperatures drop further, it might be a chilly wait for maintenance. For additional questions about the life span and well-being of your furnace, or if you would like to schedule annual maintenance for any of your home HVAC systems, call Sensible Heating & Cooling today at 720-876-7166, or email Sensible Owners, Dan Schmied or Phil Jensen.
