Waning Geothermal Tax Credits on the Horizon

Time is ticking on the availability of U.S. government tax credits for eligible residential renewable energy HVAC projects. If you’re planning installation of a geothermal heat pump or other relevant projects, be sure you’re aware of the waning credit value timeline. Home projects commencing within the 2021 calendar year may be eligible for the tax credit.

Geothermal Tax Credit Timeline: Now through December, the eligible credit is 30 percent, when it drops to 26 percent through January 2021. Credit values drop to 22 percent through January 2022.

Geothermal HVAC solutions are designed to reduce your carbon footprint, save on energy bills and increase the re-sale value of your home. If you’re considering completion of a similar project, contact Sensible Heating & Cooling at 720-876-7166 or via email [email protected] / [email protected]. We always conduct complimentary consultations to determine if geothermal is right for your home.
