What Does NATE Certified Mean?

At Sensible Heating & Cooling, we are proud to say that owner Dan Schmied is NATE certified. But what exactly does that mean, and why should you choose a company with a NATE certified technician? Here is a brief overview of what NATE certification is and what it means to you.

· NATE stands for North American Technician Excellence, and is the national certification process for HVAC contractors in Canada and the United States. NATE involves a certification exam to ensure that contractors are professionals in one or more specialty areas.

· Certification is not a requirement to perform HVAC services. Not every contractor who is not certified is unreliable, but it can be comforting to know that your technician has gone through the process of certification and testing to make sure their skills are top-notch.
