Every summer, there is some confusion surrounding which Xcel Energy Rebates are being offered, and what they are being offered for. We have put together a short blog to help clarify what is currently available to our clients. Sensible Heating & Cooling is a certified Xcel Energy Partner, and we are happy to help guide you through this process to qualify for as many rebates as possible. Here is what is currently available for 2012:
· Air Sealing & Insulation: Receive up to a $350 rebate for adding insulation and air sealing to your home.
· Furnace: Install a 95% efficient furnace to receive up to $200 in rebates, and save on your energy bills next winter.
· Air Conditioning: Replace your existing air conditioner with a 15 SEER model and receive up to $550 with the trade-in on your old model. This will also save you money on your energy bills.
· Geothermal Heat Pumps: Retrofit your home with a geothermal heat pump (also known as a ground source heat pump) and receive up to $1500 back, depending on the size of the geothermal system.
These systems are considered to be very high efficiency, which means you will see a remarkable difference in your monthly energy costs as well.
