Very happy with our experience with Sensible Heating and Cooling! From start to finish they were so easy to work with, and we really felt like we were being taken care of by real people who care about their work, not just a business out to make money. We first interacted with them when we were investigating cooling options for our home, and they actually helped us find a different company that was a better fit for our needs and budget, which really impressed us. Remembering our positive experience from before, we contacted them to do some yearly maintenance on our heater, and they discovered a heck of a lot of corrosion and other safety issues we were unaware of. They're honest folks - the technician who came out didn't charge us for that service, since the service ended up being him disconnecting the heater for safety reasons! We contacted multiple companies for quotes on a new heater, and after evaluating all our options, we went with Sensible. Their proposals fit our budget and needs, and they proved themselves trustworthy and easy to work with several times over. They did a good job of laying out the options and answering all of our questions, and worked with us to get the new heater installed JUST IN TIME for the first real cold snap of the year! They even came by with some space heaters to The new heater is working great and we are comfy and cozy, and we feel confident they'll be able to help us if any issues do arise. Highly recommended!(Also... their hold music is THE BEST, I hope they NEVER change it 🤣)

Adding my two cents after using Sensible Heating and Cooling for a new AC install. I was also curious about a "heat pump" and asked for quotes on this as well. My review: (1) The company responded to my request for a quote very quickly. (2) Ronnie came out the next day and reviewed my AC, providing helpful answers to all my questions about the existing unit. Ronnie provided information on a "Heat Pump" and knew exactly which rebates were available. (3) Ronnie is a really good guy and at no point did I feel pressured by him. A couple hours later, I received quotes for both a Heat Pump and an Air Conditioner. I went with the Air Conditioner. (4) The next day I was provided with an installation date. (5) On the day of installation, Frank and his team arrived right on time. As with Ronnie, Frank and his team are really good guys. (6) The install went smoothly, and all my questions were answered. (7) Frank made sure I was aware of everything they were doing and brought everything up to "code". (8) Frank went above and beyond and adjusted my furnace so I could use a larger air filter. (9) Frank provided an in-depth walk around of the install, explaining what they did and answering all my questions. (10) Frank and his team cleaned up everything and it looked like they had never been there, except for the awesome new AC unit they installed. You will have no worries with the job these experts perform.

After we lost our dream house in the Marshall fire we looked for a geothermal company that would be willing to tie into our existing system. Sensible was the only company that was willing to work with us to use some of our existing system so that we could afford to rebuild. Ours was a special situation and they were great to work with. They followed through with every issue we had and we are extremely happy with the result. A very thorough and professional team. We highly recommend!

Best in industry — team, installation and product.I was looking for a team that really knew their stuff and cared about each project as if it were in their own home. With that in mind, the team at Sensible exceeded my expectations.I selected a mid-range, 2 stage heat, 2 stage AC, Bryant system; comparing other top-rated brands and their associated, local installers. The Sales Pro did more to earn my trust than the competition, and a Carrier brand looked/sounded good after weeks of product analysis on the web, talking to neighbors and friends…mulling it over.When installation day came, two professionals with extensive industry knowledge, decades of experience, standout courtesy and unusual attention to detail, installed/retrofitted the new Bryant system in our 23 year old home. The Ops Manager came himself to ensure a timely delivery during a hot summer — hot for Denver at least. They ensured my very clean home stayed very clean and left the HVAC closet and plumbing in top shape. I am picky, fastidious, politely called “detail-oriented”. Turns out these guys are equally picky.I researched for days before selecting the Bryant brand and Sensible. I feel fortunate. I hit the jackpot for HVAC professionals.

Had a low pressure problem two years ago and Eric Ramirez was sent out to service our furnace. He fixed the problem and explained what was going on with our furnace and never tried to sell un-need service. Again today we had a problem with our furnace shutting off and I call and requested Eric again. He came out showed me the small problem and turned up the blower. Eric showed me how to clean my unit and didn't try to up sell the job. He was honest, knowledgeable and easy to talk to about the problem. This company and Eric are a credit to their profession. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to pay for an honest job done by a honest person and company.

My experience working with Sensible Heating and Cooling was great! Neil was able to answer any and all questions I had and help me figure out the right HVAC system for the size of my house and my needs. Then on the days of the install Frank, Jared, and Zach were all timely, courteous, and friendly and answered any questions I had as well as asking my opinion on things like the outdoor units placement and making sure it was in an ok spot on my patio to be out of my way. Both Frank and Devan did a wonderful job on my boiler. I am always very happy with Sensible Heating and I only call them when I have a heating problem.4/29/2024As always Sensible Heating and Cooling did a GREAT job. It was Eric this time and He knocked it out of the park. I would NEVER use any other Heating & cooling company. I had a new roof put on and unfortunately the roofers messed up my boiler. It could have been really, really bad, but Eric caught the problem right away. As always Sensible was all over it. They even sent out space heaters in case I needed heat before they got the part and fixed my boiler. Sensible Heating and Cooling are the very best!!!

Sensible installed a heat pump system on my high efficiency furnace earlier this fall and left the funace in place as a backup for extreme low temps below zero. Great installation and control work. Our energy bill for the coldest month of December/January just arrive and I am about 1/3 of what my neighbors and friends bills. This is amazing.

Our furnace decided to die on the coldest night of negative temps. We called another company for emergency services but should’ve just waited for Sensible the next day. We had used them previously to replace a blower motor and they are honest, well-priced HVAC services. Luckily, they were able to come out same day right before the holidays to save the day and help where the other company just gave us a ridiculously high priced estimate to replace our system. Ivan came out and was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. He knows his craft and actually cares. He took the time to get us back up and running at a reasonable price. This is the only HVAC company we will trust now!

We had an awesome experience with Sensible Heating! They were able to squeeze us in for same day service which was surprising! The tech arrived and reviewed the thermostat issue with me. He solved that thermostat issue and then noticed a problem I didn't know we had--the system was short-cycling because the furnace was getting too hot. He sped the fan up and the issue was resolved. I called Sensible around 1:30 today because our AC wasn’t working well. They were able to fit our family’s needs in last minute after a call to the technician. Eric is very professional, patient, and friendly. He showed up on time. He came in and right away put covers on his feet. He was super nice to my son and to my dog. He even remembered that the last time he was here, he had met my Husband. He was very confident and comfortable doing his job. After he had checked everything out, he explained to me how my AC was functioning and what it needed. He told me the price that it would be and when I approved, he did the work (we were a little low on refrigerant). When he was done, he checked how the unit was functioning after the refrigerant was put in and there was the expected improvement. I paid the invoice and then he was finished. He confirmed to me that Sensible Heating and Cooling is a small, local, business. We love to support small business'. If you need HVAC anything, I would HIGHLY recommend this small, local, business. They have reasonably priced packages that include discounts on regular maintenance and repairs. The office manager is very friendly and accommodating.We have used this company for a couple of years now. The first time was during a heat wave the first Covid summer. Our AC wasn't keeping up and we were out of town for an extended time for a large surgery. Our house-sitter was roasting. They came the next day and found the problem. I honestly can't remember what it was, but it was some little part that was super easy to fix and they happened to have one with them. He replaced it and didn't charge us. It was such a huge blessing to us. This is one of the many reasons we prefer and like to support small business'. It's those little things. We were planning on paying (and we were actually expecting a large bill), and then, out of the kindness of his heart, he fixed it right quick. It's that old fashioned goodness that is so refreshing and so needed. It was a stressful time in our lives and that neighborly gesture meant so much. I have tears in my eyes right now remembering what it meant to us.All this to say that if you need anything HVAC, this is your place! Our home furnace from 1979 failed on us this winter. We were grateful to M and M for quickly scheduling and assessing a replacement for the furnace and a new hot water heater. They ordered the necessary equipment and were able to install the new systems within the week. Cody and David worked diligently over the course of two full days to install the system, thoroughly. They were also able to replace a frozen pipe that had burst. Joe was also kind and helpful when transporting new and old equipment to and from our home. Their efficiency and attention to detail brought warmth back to our home, and likely prevented further damage from the cold. We are grateful for their service. The total service cost amounted to approximately $15,400, which included a hydronic gas boiler system, zone valve head, zone control panel, variable circulator pump and 50 gallon hot water heater.

Sensible is one of the best, most solid HVAC contractors I have seen. They do what they promise, when they promise, and at the price they quote. They are responsive in heating and cooling emergencies, and provide great customer service. Their expertise in geothermal is unmatched in the Denver area, including their ability to diagnose and fix complex and difficult issues. (Pricey, but definitely worth it if you want your job done right.) While all of their owners, office staff and techs are great, their tech Aaron is a gem.

Aaron came in a flash when I called Erika at Sensible Heating and Cooling and said our renters just told us the heat wasn't working on a VERY cold winter day last week.....YIKES!!!This beloved family home has been with us since Great Aunt Irma built it in 1942, and carries a lot of cherished memories. It has a boiler system and not many places really know how to handle this fabulous type of system. We rent our home on a very selective basis, and want to make sure our tenants are well taken care of.So of course this heating crisis happened just months after our repair and maintenance man we've relied on for DECADES retired and moved to Arizona. Starting over isn't easy when in a crisis!Fortunately I was referred to Sensible Heating and Cooling by another friend in that part of Denver. (I think I owe her dinner for that great favor!)The repair was FAST, SUCCESSFUL and REASONABLE. I have never felt so well taken care of in my life!Other vendors might have charged an arm and a leg to an out-of-town landlord like me, knowing I was totally over a barrel in this emergency. But Sensible Heating and Cooling lived up to their name, and were totally honorable in all possible ways.Today I just bought an annual contract with them for yearly preventative maintenance checks of our boiler system, which Aaron will most capably implement.To me, the Sensible Heating and Cooling motto could be, "A friend in need, is a friend INDEED!" Eric was very professional and honest! He ran a diagnostic test to make sure everything was connected and working properly. He then cleaned the connectors to the relay switch and that’s all it was. He said that we should know to check the switch first if it gives us any more problems but it didn’t need to be replaced. Total professional. Sensible heating and air will be my go to for any heating and ac needs!

Incredibly knowledgeable, he was able to assess our needs and incorporated mathematical calculations to evaluate airflow to determine the type of system upgrade we needed. Sensible Heating & Cooling was an absolute pleasure to work with! I got two additional estimates from other HVAC companies and was not impressed. Neither company was confident that they could get the job done. I had a new modulating furnace, modulating A/C, communicating thermostat, new high performance air cleaner/filter, steam humidifier, AND tankless water heater installed. Some of it had to be retrofitted and it was done in a small space. It was a complicated job and took 5 days to complete, but it was well worth it! Phil, Neil, Devon, and Preston were friendly and respectful of our home when work was being done. They are great guys! Jo, Erika, and Stephen were also great to work with! We hadn't been in our new house long when the air conditioner conked out on the hottest day of summer. The company we called to repair it recommended we look at replacing it if the repair didn't last, and casually mentioned a ballpark cost. Off he went but we never heard back from their sales office or anyone. A contractor we trust and use for everything referred us to Sensible, and we ended up getting a great new unit. It was kind of expensive but Phil took his time and was at our house twice to take careful measurements and recommend the right size machine for our space and layout. The old machine didn't cool the upstairs well so Phil addressed that and explained how technology has changed since our old unit was put in, especially in efficiency in how they run. Install was on time, professional and courteous! Erika even coordinated the required inspection, super easy for us! We're happy with the experience and would recommend Sensible to anyone who needs a new AC...Plus it runs a lot quieter, bonus!

An amazing company. I had 6 bids on AC, but Phil took the longest to completely study our situation and came up with the best plan to give us exceptional AC at a fair price. Every single person involved with the company was knowledgeable, polite, friendly, conscientious, on time, and took every response for covid safety. I can't recommend them enough!

I can not recommend Sensible Heating enough. They spent many months working with us on our new house and the HVAC system works perfectly.Dan designed a very complicated geothermal heating system and laid the tubing during a blizzard just so our project would not be delayed. When all other contractors did not work, Dan was there.Phil, Aaron, Neil and Eric were great to work with, extremely professional, straight forward, honest and pleasant to talk to.Of the dozen companies we worked with the build our house, Sensible was by far the best to work with.

Our experience with this company started with an early morning email in December hoping to have a tech come and fix our dead furnace. I received an email minutes later (before 7am when they open) with two time options. The tech sent me a text when he was on his way over that was very helpful. He quickly fixed the issue and got us back on track. With such a great experience with this company we plan to use them as our go to HV/AC company in the future.

As a single mom, whose furnace went out in the middle of nursing school finals and a few days before the coldest days of 2019, I can not find enough words to express my appreciation for the service I received. Stephen went above and beyond his professional duties to ensure I was a happy customer. Not only were they prompt and polite but they took the time to answer all my questions and explain all my options with no pressure. They made sure that everything could be completed before the temperatures got too low and as a result we have been warm and comfortable all winter.

We had a very cold spell in Denver when our 30 year old furnace went out then we had a gas oder so the gas company red tagged it. The owner of Sensible Heating personally came out that same evening to make sure our furnace was safe and made arrangements to install a new furnace. When the workers came, they were very professional and worked all day into the evening to install our new furnace and water heater. To top that off, the owner came by to make sure it was complete! They helped with getting us set up with financing too! This company goes above and beyond and we are so grateful for their time, attention, and great skill! Oh, and my house is warm and cozy again. Had a 12 year old furnace stop working during the November cold, I flipped switches changed the fuse and got it working. I decided to have Sensible come out and check the unit out. The technician Neal came out and could not replicate the failure. It failed again. Had Neal come back the next day and was able to fix it. Pricing was reasonable and the service was great. Thank you Sensible.

Phenomenal experience from the moment we first called, we woke up early in the morning on Octobers first snow storm of the season to find our 30yr furnace was out for the count, we called around to a few HVAC companies, however Sensible Heating was the ONLY company that got us on the schedule for the next day, they provided a very thorough estimate that beat the competition by 1k+They got our new furnace installed 3 days later, it took a long days work, the entire time they professional and hard working.. 10/10 highly recommend

Aaron came out to help us with our geothermal system. He did a great job of explaining component functions and determining what the cause of our fault error was. He was quick, professional, and we felt the service cost was reasonable. We will definitely be using Sensible Heating and Cooling in the future.

Low pressure, high service. For our furnace replacement with new AC they solved a piping problem that other reputable vendors would not try. Estimator and part-owner Phil is informative and responsive. He came out twice during the install. Installers were sharp and hard-working. Walter was willing to answer any question about what they were doing, how things worked, or how to operate and maintain the equipment. They include permitting, and rebate processing in their quite reasonable price. These folks seem to enjoy their work and care about how it comes out. A great value.

Knew the minute Phil walked around the house that I was going to buy a new AC and Furnace from him and his company. I had 4 quotes from various companies in the area but none matched the detail and know it of Sensible Heating and Cooling. Phil talked me out of a larger furnace that matched my previous one and convinced me on a smaller unit after taking laser measurements of my house. No other company did this. He guided me on what I needed, not what I thought I wanted or what other companies said I needed. In doing so my quote was more in line with my budget and he had financing to assist. The scheduler moved up the techs to get to my house since our furnace was acting up and we had another cold night. The techs were at our door the next day at the exact time that was promised. Phil came by during the middle of the installation to check on the project as well as came over today to see the end product. Great small company that backs up their products, takes care of their technicians and treats customers with a high level of service rarely found in this world anymore. The furnace runs great and is quiet as a mouse. Looking forward to our first hot day now.
